Apple Envy

I’m not supposed to covet. That’s in the 10 commandments.
I’m not supposed to set my heart on the things of this world. That’s in the Sermon on the Mount.
I’m not supposed to try to fill my life with the cares of this world. That’s in every book in the New Testament.
Nevertheless, I find myself wanting one of those new Apple Macbooks. With that Education Discount they’ve got right now, I could also get an iPod nano for FREE.
I could use both the macbook and nano for ministry.
I already have an iBook and a shuffle.
But I want more! When will it ever be enough?
Two years from now, I’ll probably want to break free from the macbook and nano to buy the next gadgets out from Apple.
I just want to be Ethan Hunt, Jason Bourne, or Bruce Wayne. The next cool computer trick, you know. Am I alone in this?

I am not really an Apple guy (use a Sony Vaio) but I agree with you that those things are pretty stinkin awesome!
On a side note- Can you explain the Avatar picture? I am guessing it’s Nacho’s but then again it could be some kind of chicken “surprise”
Finally….Mav’s in 7 games. AND- Mavericks win 3 more titles in the next 6 years (4 Titles total from 2006-2013). Dynasty has come back to Dallas my friends! You heard it here first.

Greetings,
Thanks for stopping by my vox. I noticed that you have links to the Akron Beacon Journal. I grew up in Akron and my parents still live in Barberton. Are you on staff at the Chapel? Your name in your email address rings a bell for me.
As far as DaVinci, you may be interested in two DaVinci posts that I have done in recent days on my main blog: http://www.realmealministries.org
Peace,

I used to have a Sony Vaio. It was nice.
I didn’t like getting all the spam and what not, though.
I also didn’t like the difficulty with networking.
Come to think of it, after I had it for about 18 months, it wasn’t so nice.
Anyone want to buy a Vaio?

Wailer,
At a time like this, I can’t help but think of Him saying, “my grace is sufficient for you.” I’m sure it’s harder to grasp that when you’re having a big Mac attack. In fact, I’m still defining how I think about that.
I encourage you to dump that envy and ask God for a MacBook. Why not?He just might like that idea. He does love to bless his kids. And if not, you’ll grow through the process.
By the way, I just bought my first laptop today. I could say I can’t afford it, but that doesn’t matter to me right now. Bills are paid and God will meet my needs. Sometimes my wants, too. It felt great. It’s not a Mac, but so far I’m still a PC guy and don’t yet salivate over the Apple. That may change with time….
Hey, and thanks for your inspiring comments about living dangerously. More dangerous adventures await those step into who God would have them be.
